Hi,
I'm not aware of a tool which can do that to help you.
If you are talking about a few programs, just bring them over by hand.
Both MK and MS2000 have similar sound engines and may thus sound similar in the end. So by disassembling the structure of the MK program, you can recreate it on the MS2000 and bring them close together. The editors for each of the synth can ease the process.
Have fun. _________________ microKORGXL, Kaossilator Pro, monotribe, SQ-1, volca fm, Kross 88 BK

I've no idea. My first guess would be no. Because Korg is typically a device ID in the SysEx messages that would be different between both boxes. Probably the sound engines are not exactly the same, which gives a slightly different SysEx message as well apart from the ID. That's why a tool would help to convert sysex from one to another.
But you can just try to transfer a MK SysEx to a MS2K board. It will not do any harm if the MS2K does not recognize the SysEx of the MK.
Bye. _________________ microKORGXL, Kaossilator Pro, monotribe, SQ-1, volca fm, Kross 88 BK

You totally can swap patches between the 2. I have never had an issue loading MK patches to my MS2k. If you did have an issue it would prolly be in the first couple lines of the sysex where it calls for a manufacturer and instrument info.. But again I never had an issue. one thing you might see is that since MK has not display there are no patch names so on the MS2K it shows a blank name field... Also im not sure if the NK has the second layer that the MS2K has so that info might be lost as well. |
