I wasn't all that interested in a MiniMoog (unless I get an original through the raffle), but a 2600? That I'd go for.
Probably because I played a 2600 when I was young, and I didn't play a MiniMoog. It's not that my father didn't like Moogs - we had a PolyMoog - just that you can't own everything. _________________ Fred

If they DO release the 2600 and it's in the same ballpark as the Moog Mother-32 or the Pittsburgh Lifeforms SV-1, I hope they use 1/8" jacks so that it can talk to Eurorack modules without special cords. _________________ Fred

My crystal ball is rusty, but I'd say that the odds of eurorack compatibility, at least in terms of form factor, are pretty good.
Mind you, not sure how directly electrically compatible they'll be. It would almost certainly end up using different chips, so it's quite possible that a clone might be natively eurorack compatible. |

The 2600 is already compatible with Euro - I've never had any problems other than driving the ARP's Gate voltage FROM Euro Modules (the 5V Euro Gate needs boosting to 10V)
I keep hearing things from Uli Behringer like "I've always wanted to own one of these" - Surely if ANYONE could afford to fork out £6000 for one, he can _________________ Synth DIY Projects |

It's been a couple of decades since I played a 2600, but didn't it use 1/4" jacks originally? _________________ Fred

You know whats funny, despite the current analogue hype, i do believe that Behringer might actually be the first one to release a high quallity VST based workstation...
If they really want to make it happen, they will add a analogue box to, where PCB's from your Behringer analogue synths of choice can be added (much like a rack). But where everything analogue could be comtrolled from the main workstation...
Internal core, Bitwig with full NKS support.(an NKS device with all the features NKS support, easy accessible).. and then adding midi effects (note FX in Bitwig) to replicate the things live players deam important like Karma(if steven wants to devope it) and even arranger style and feature support..
Bitwig is just the perfect program for this, and i think its the only Major DAW that would strike a deal with Behringer when they can both become better from it... all Behringer needs to do is add more content as BigWig comes with a huge soundset, and create an interface for direct comtroll from the keyboard..
By thinking out of the box and putting the right things in the Box, Behringer could become a force to be reconned with... _________________ Korg Kronos 2/88 , Genos, Mainstage3 +VSTsu, ipad pro, GSi Gemini, Roland Integra 7, Jupiter Xm, Yamaha motif XS rack, Ketron SD90.

No, they've always been 1/8" (3.5mm) mono jacks. _________________ Synth DIY Projects |

I don't get the OSCar thing- it was a short-lived and not very popular synth.

And regained popularity when GForce did it as a plugin.
It's pretty unique in what it's doing and how it's doing it. |
