No. The note-off MIDI message triggers the hammer drop, not aftertouch.

No, that's just key release (note-off). Nothing to do with aftertouch. |

I agree with you when it comes to hammer action boards. But one of the markets for a board like this is people for whom piano playing is not the bulk of what they're doing... instead they may mostly want a non-hammer action Kronos with more than 61 keys, to facilitate splits. For this purpose, aftertouch will be missed. Personally, I'd love to see a 7x-key version of this, with aftertouch, and with the left side controls moved up above the lowest keys to make the board that much less wide and lighter. |
