yes, there have been threads on this
88key semi-weighted keys are a nice option, but the LS has no aftertouch. (see specs in Quick Start Guide). That might be a drawback for some potential users. _________________ Ad

Seems cool and useful but are they really unable to bring the price down? Does it really cost $4000 for this? _________________ Korg Kronos, RD-88, Yamaha VL1, Deep Mind 6, Korg Kross, author of unrealBook for iPad. |

The price in the US at Sweetwater Music the rep quoted me $3400 or something close to that. You still could get it cheaper if you make them an offer I am sure. _________________ K2 Kronos 88, Mojo 61, Korg CX3, Roland FANTOM 7 |

I kinda think it's not worth the price. I would rather spend the extra $200 for real hammer action. |

Yeah, but for some of us, these old hands are starting to appreciate the easier actions. After decades of Bach, Beethoven, Liszt, Mendelssohn, Bartok and the Rach 3, my hands are enjoying synth keybeds more and more.

This looks very intriguing. Right now, I'm carrying a Casio PX-5S and the K-61 to most gigs because they're lighter together than a K88.
I'd really need to play this first, though. The "light" touch keybeds on Korg's lower end keyboards do not impress me. _________________ Kronos 2 88, Kronos Classic 73, PX-5S, Kronos 2 61, Roli Seaboard Rise 49 |

Same here.
Hopefully it has the action of the K61 in it and not the cheaper keyboard actions. Probably for that price. _________________ Korg Kronos, RD-88, Yamaha VL1, Deep Mind 6, Korg Kross, author of unrealBook for iPad. |

The point of this board isn't really to save $200, it's to offer something with more than 61 keys to players who prefer a non-hammer action, or who don't want to deal with the travel weight of the hammer action 88. |
