|
|
Hi,
Is it possible to send a sysex string e.g. via a knob to external midi gear?
I like to send something like this:
F004157F14050002F7
Could not find a way to send anything else then CC messages via the knobs.
If it's not possible is there any other option to let the Kronos send this Midi string to my other synth? |

Only through sequencer.
you'd need to record the syx into sequencer, or put that syx into some midi file and load that.
if you want to manually trigger that syx, then you'd likely have to put that syx midi clip into a RPPR pattern and trigger that via a note.
Am not sure but you can also try converting that midi into a drum pattern and loading into the drum track nad see if that triggers syx to other gear.
Edit: Actually just Tested MySelf, works great! as RRPR or a Drum Track pattern _________________ DX7-MOD-7 Patches | Korg Related Content

My old masterkeyboard was able to send small sysex commands to my other gear.
I just wondered if the Kronos could do this as well.
I would like to enter the sysex string into the Kronos and then send it to the other gear.
This seams not to be possible? |

you cannot directly assign sysex in kronos.
buy you can embed that sysex in midi and then kronos can send that embedded message like I mentioned above. _________________ DX7-MOD-7 Patches | Korg Related Content

Another easy way is to use the MIDI-OX freeware. It can send any SYSEX data you want when it receives whatever you prefer (note on, channel aftertouch, program change, RPN, NRPN, etc.). |
