Some of the keys on my 73 are noisy when pressed and one of them is sticking and hard to press (although not all the time). Any ideas? Thanks |

Hi there,
Could be several things, some easy to fix, others needing new parts. First thing to check is if the problematic keys are in the middle of your keyboard. If so, it could simply be that the front "bumper" of your unit is a millimeter too close to the keys and rubbing on them. Check if this could be the cause. If so, you simply need to reseat the action a millimeter farther back or unbend it gently if the bumper ended up curved a tiny bit for whatever reason.
Also, on a RH3 action, metal "hammers" can end up out of position and/or the plastic parts on which they sit can become defective after several years of wear. In that case, the only way to figure it out is to open your unit. _________________ My Kronos 7 |
