Since I bought my Pa4X, I have been regularly using the Media/Utility/Full Resource Backup. But examining the filesize, it is clear that it does not actually backup my MP3 files (and probably not my midis). That's OK, in the sense that I have these all stored in their own folder(s) on the Pa4X and I have that separately backed up.

But it raises two questions:

1) Is there a setting to ensure that the Full Resource Backup really is a full backup ?

2) Could there be other things which aren't backed up either by the Full Resource Backup which I need to be concerned about?

Phil

The best way to backup all your data is to "Save" a SET of all your PA4X configuration, sounds styles etc.. (normal Save) and then copy all the files from your HD/SD (depending what you have) to an external drive or direct to PC.

"Full Resource Backup" relates to PA4X Resources and not unrelated files like MIDI, MP3.

If you do not change PA4X factory data then all you need to do is execute regular "saves" of your PA4X USER data (MEDIA>>Save>>"All".....). Some choose to overwrite/edit factory styles/sounds etc and in this case a "Full Resource Backup" will save those.

If you want to backup MP3/MIDI and other non-PA4X files then you need to copy them to an external drive as I mention above.

Hope this helps - if not, please keep asking in case I have misunderstood...

Cheers
