https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B38zrKkdB4cBNTYwZGpFb1AwQkU

(It is on AA 036)
I wonder if an AL-1 expert could tweak this lead synth that I like to have a longer brighter duration . It is not always so good for long tones.
I see that the PCG is with preload file so it is 26 MB. Tell me I have to try again.
I will be happy if somebody could tell me how to change it . It isn`t like a ordinary synh .
Thanks in advance !
Regards, Gunnar

Hi.

I haven't heard or looked at the sound, but if you wish the sound to be brighter, then you need to look at the filter page and either adjust the filter cut off (increase it) and/or the filter EG depth and or filter sustain level.

To get a longer duration, you need to adjust the EG parameters probably both on the filter EG and amp EG.

If you are new to synthesis, it is worth playing about with a poly 6 voice first to get idea of how the filter ad EGs interact. You can then apply the same principles to AL-1.

Yes, I am familiar with ordinary synth, the main settings, , but AL-1 seems different.
But you mean I will find everything like it is on the polysix ?
My synth lead loose treble to fast , and I would like if I could tweak it with the knobs at stage. But I døn`t know if it will behave like an ordinary synth .

Sounds like you need a filter envelope tweak. Increase decay time, raise break ..

Oh, oh big mistake!
It is MOD-7 not AL-1
That shows how little time spent with these....
I see that all OSCs are sinus, so how get it only a little brighter?
I have found the EG that made the tone dying out, so that is ok.
I will use this sound to learn more about MOD-7 but it seems very advanced.
Some tips to tweak it a bit sharper, general advice and links (youtube) will make me glad.

In that particular patch main sound is produced by OSC6 (although OSC1-5 contribute some too), so changing Mode from Sine to Saw or Square gives you more bright character.
Similar but little different character can be obtained tweaking (increasing in this case) OSC1-3 and MIX1-2 levels.
MOD-7 FM synthesis is pretty complex matter, good starting point would be reading Parameter Guide MOD-7 section.
