I would like to upgrade my SSD hard drive in my Kronos. It is the original version. I understand a 2nd drive is no longer an option. I am thinking I need an MLC drive for reliability. What about SATA II vs SATA III. SATA II is getting harder to find and prices seem to be going up. STA III seems to have some compatibility issues with some brands. I would like to know which hard drives people have installed successfully. I have a 2 bay hard drive docking station with a cloning function I would like to use for cloning. |

A second drive remains a good option and it's usually recommended to do this rather than "replace" the original.
(Cloning the boot drive can also be achieved, but may not be necessary).
Try doing a google search, there are a number of useful information posts and some videos that can help.
(example...."Korg Kronos hard drive installation".....will provide a starting point).
Best Wishes. |
