|
|
Hi! I am having trouble with my newly purchased Microkorg XL. (Checked other topics but none exactly matched this)
I have been trying to write purchased patches to it.
I downloaded both the most recent version of Sound Editor and corresponding driver and tried to create communication via USB connection from my older Laptop (Mac / Snow Leopard) and newer Desktop Computer (Mac / Yosemite).
With older Laptop I can switch preferences from "No Use Midi In" to two other settings but when hitting "Write all Programs" it says "Midi port not specified".
With the newer Desktop I can not even switch from "No Use Midi In" and same error message.
I also turned off protection and enabled sys already.
Am I not supposed to use the USB connection? Do I need to buy a midi interface?
Please help!

The USB connection is definitely how its done, but i only use the free Korg MicroKORG XL+ Editor, have you tried that? Its really good - all the features are there on an attractive GUI. |
