I also felt that imported samples specially loops did not have enough sound/punch. One solution that someone suggested to me was to edit the sound and use same sample on both oscillators. This make a big difference.
It worked for me. _________________ --------------------------------------------

I guess all your similar references are about custom DK Sounds (and time sliced loops) !
DK Sound interface has been made actually to host stereo samples so If you use a monophonic sample even normalized
to 0db , it will be in the best case the 50% of the volume compared to any stereo factory DK element , that's why many
of you believe that there is a issue there !
So if you want your custom drum elements to be loud and punchy then pick up only stereo wav/Aiff samples you like ,
use a sound editor to normalize them properly and then import them in your Pa arranger.
Pa4X factory drum samples have been heavily processed with advanced sound editors , limiters and compressors ,
including ambience data and regardless of their sound taste for us , you can't 'beat' them with amateuristic drum samples
that you have gathered from internet sources.
Hope this helps _________________ Music Conductor - Sound Engineer & Developer - Automotive SMPS/RF R&D - Electronics Engineer
