Hi – within the audio event editing tools, is it possible to move a single word in a vocal track a little forwards or backwards on the timeline?

The Parameter guide has an extensive chapter on audio event editing, you have to read it. If your word is an isolated one on a very quiet background, yes, nobody will notice it has been moved; otherwise you'll have to use some pro software like isotope on your computer for such editing since there'll be an obvious glitch at your edit's in and out points.

I edit the actual .wav files all the time. It's a pain in the ass but it can be done. I edit them in sampling mode.

My girlfriend has no rhythm. We did a song together a few months back but when you listen to it finished, the words are pretty much in rhythm.
