|
|
I have connected my Roland R8 Mark II to Korg PA600. My purpose is to play some the rhythm along with korg style. I connected one side of the cable to Roland's MIDI in connector and other end to Korg PA600s MIDI out connector. Set the MIDI in Roland To MIDI(Changed from Internal to MIDI) . However the the Roland is not playing when Korg pa 600 style is playing. What additional setup I need to do on Korg.
I used the same kind of settings with my Yamaha S910 and it is working fine
Please help

You connected it to send midi from the pa600 to the roland.
Is that what you wanted? You have to tell the PA what to send to the midi port, Global/midi/ midi out
Describe exactly what you want to have happen, not how, just what you want.
Can you hear the Roland? Does it have an amp/speakers?
If they both have their own amp you just need to sync them up, one's master and one is slave.
I make the pa600 the slave to my computer. Global/midi set timing to midi.
To make a master slave setup you need to tell one device to be the slave so set timing to midi instead of internal then the master needs to send out midi clock. On a DAW I have to send midi clock to the right port. I'm not sure if the Pa is sending out midi clock already or you have to turn it on in global somewhere.
Complex subject and a lot of ways to do things. _________________ PA600 Studio One3 |
