|
|
Hi everyone,
I got a Microkorg XL a couple of days ago and as I'm trying to learn it I'm feeling a little discouraged with the sounds, the presets aren't great honestly, at least they're not for what I want to do, I really want to do sounds similar to Crystal Castles (who used a microkorg), I really like those distorted vintage synths, but when I try to emulate the sounds it just comes off as cheap, and to make matters worse, there isn't a ton of support for the XL, there is for the of microkorg, but that's a different beast. Can anyone help me out here? |

what exact sound are you chasing?
I listened to a you tube on that band...
lots of synth sounds...
slice us a sound bite for the sound you are trying to make..
if I hear it I can help.
I use an O scope for looking at the sound and duplication of the wave form.
that is the best way!!
it sounded like they were using a decimator to clip the wave form
if that is the sound you were chasing.
so are you doing this for studio or for live performance? _________________ my site klimaco.net
