You know how synths are recreated into smaller versions like the boutique series by Roland like the new D05 which is a recreation of the D50, Korg should recreate the M1 like Roland has been doing their boutique series. Korg can make a small hardware M1 with all the cards sorta like Roland SonicCell. A good idea? |

Already "done" - iM1 for the iPad.
Same for the Wavestation, MonoPoly, MS20, Polysix.
Now, if only they would port the MonoPoly over to an EXi for the Kronos... |

I'm familiar with all the M1 recreates made but in particular a small (hardware)M1 would be useful and probably purchased, liked, and beheld. I'm also familiar with the idea of different synths being ported over as EXi's, I said a long time ago that the M1 should be ported over. Thanks |

xCDx, I agree with you. It's a good idea, and obviously the Rolands are selling, so why not? |

I personally think that Korg have it right in releasing their emulations of classics as tablet versions.
I'd happily buy an iD50, but have little interest in these "lumps of boutique hardware" which I have no room for in my already crowded studio. _________________ Derek Cook - Java Developer

Hi Derek,
Totally understand your angle. For me, I prefer hardware because I get sick (and my eyes get tired) of looking at computer screens. Also, I like to pack a small-ish synth with me when I go away, one that I generally don't use when I'm at home. It always seems to produce something different for me. |

From a beatmakerz standpoint having all those sounds outside of a computer to work with would be the main enthusiasm. |
