|
|
So I've just acquired a Kross (original - nothing that appeals in the new version and the original is a good price here in the UK). Muscled my way into a gig on Saturday so I can try it out live. There are a few things I'd like to do before then which I can't immediately figure out in the manuals:
1/ I'd like to transpose a piano sound down 1 octave and save it as a User program. I know the switches do this for some programs but if not, how? I can see how to do it per oscillator but surely you can transpose the whole program?
2/ Same question again really. I want to transpose a piano down 1 semitone (hey, we're doing Call Me The Breeze and I can't solo in F#, don't judge me too harshly!).
3/ I'd like to use a footswitch to toggle organ leslie speed to slow/fast. I've seen a post here on this subject (something about AMS) but don't really understand.
Be great if someone could help me out - this gig might decide if it's a keeper or not. Thanks for any help you can give.

Some sounds are already set up to use the two buttons as Octave up/Octave down. But you can set this up yourself by scrolling to P-INPUT/CTRL, Controllers . There you can assign SW1 and SW2 to various things, including Octave Up or Octave Down.
The quickest way to transpose all the voices at once is to make the sound part of a Combo, which is helpful if you're just just transposing it for one song. Then it's under TIMBRE- PITCH tab.
The quickest way to make a Combo is to hit the Split or Layer button, but for a piano sound it might be easier to use one of the factory Piano combos.
I've been trying to get the foot switch to work for the Leslie. My pedal isn't a foot switch, it's a damper pedal but I thought it could be made to work.
OK I just got it to work. Under the settings for the Rotary Speaker effect, on the row that says Speed Sw____ Src> (select Dmpr#64) Sw: Toggle
This way when you tap the damper pedal it will turn the Rotary speaker on or off. There are settings for Foot Switch and Pedal too, but these won't work with my damper pedal, even when I plug it into the Pedal or Switch jacks (next to the Damper jack) |
