Heya everyone!

I have this MS2000 that a friend would let go for a reasonnable price.

Having the Kronos already, is it a waiste of cash? I mean, can I do all these sounds with the Kronos?

I have an Korg R3, its a newer and smaller MS2000 and imho i think it its a great supplement to the rest of my gig. It has some very nice sounds and yes you could probably sample them and put them into the kronos, but its more fun tweaking knobs Smile

I personally, like having at least one separate board, which can be used without interfering with the main board. That way, doing transitions on one, whilst loading a patch on the other is easier.

The MS2K keyboard was its weak point imo. The way it's hinged - right where the keys meet the top panel. I did like the high-pass filter though, when I had mine.

But what I trying to figure out is if the sounds of the MS2000 already present in the Kronos, or easy to reproduce.

I wouldn't want to spend money an a MS2000 if I can create the same sounds with relative ease.

Essentially, Kronos covers what the MS2K does in terms of features/architecture. I'd say that the filters on the MS2K are (subjectively) harsher and more cutting at high resonances.

It would cost me aroud $300 US.

It's not in mint condition thought but all functionnal.

It does look like a fun little synth.
