I’m using an iPad for backing tracks. The APP, iMix has MIDI capability. I would like to program MIDI program changes so selecting a track on the pad will set the Kronos to the right patch.

I’m already using the MIDI in on the K2 61 for a second keyboard so I would have to get a merger. However, the USB MIDI works except the Kronos then captures the iPad’s audio. That would be OK except the audio deteriorates rather quickly. This seems to be an issue between Apple and Korg.

My question is, can I just use the MIDI thru USB and somehow disable the audio? Either in the iPad or Kronos?

Thanks,

Geo

if you are not using ipad audio, you could just mute the usb inputs on kronos or route to some other bus.

Yeah, I’m using iPad audio. I need it to go out the headphone jack. IOS should allow you to choose which audio port you want to use but I don’t know how to do that. If Korg allowed turning off the USB audio capture that would probably work. I have turned USB audio off in Global but it’s still capturing the iPad audio so it doesn’t play out the HP jack.
