I finally cut the rope..
Goim to buy a knobby polyphonic (virtual) analogue desktop module...
To add to the Kronos(and pa4x) in my setup
I am not an analogue freak, i am after the direct controll and feel of a synth

I narrowed my list down to

NOVATION PEAK
DSI REV2
ACCESS VIRUS TI2
NORD LEAD A1
NORD LEAD 4
BEHRINGER DEEPMIND 12D

the Novation is looking great, tough i havent had the chance to play with it in real...

All synths on the list have strong and weak points, i am looking to find experiences from other people... that have actuall hands on experience with these synths.. and also own a pure digital synth workstation like the kronos..

Please feel free to post your opinions...

My two VAs are not going to cut that list, but my Nord G2 engine still sounds amazing with bags of character, so hopefully the Nords from your list will do as well (albeit without being fully modular like the G2), and I still have a soft spot for my Yamaha AN1x.

I've been thinking along the same lines as you, but elected to go down the route of a "brick PC" in my rack capable of running any of my soft synths. Which costs me about the same but really opens up the sound possibilities (and the Kronos and Montage have knobs aplenty to assign, and most of my performance control is done with my feet via an FC300 controller).

The thing I am in love with most right now is UH-E Diva! I need that more powerful live PC in my rig to get that into it. Man, it sounds awesome!
