Hi, I am looking for a soft case for travelling with my Kronos 61. Do airlines let one travel in the plane with a keyboard of this size? Thanks in advance.
P.S. A Sales Engineer from Sweetwater recommended me this one:

Not sure that you could carry a 61 aboard, better check with the airlines. I’d think something like this would be safer, but again I’d check with the airlines. No way I’d let them pitch it (literally) in with the baggage.

You have to call each airline in advance to see if they allow your board.

Don't assume or take a sales reps advice. An airline can change their policy as they see fit

Having worked in the aviation industry, my guess is about 95% chance NO.

If it won't fit in the overhead luggage locker or under the seat in front of you, then no, it'll have to be hold luggage, if it's on a regular scheduled flight. If you charter your own plane, then it's a different story, although even then, cabin safety is still paramount.

I would NEVER trust asoft case in the hands of baggage handlers. Unless you are flying Westjet. I've flown them and they have safe storage in their planes for musical instruments and other fragile stuff but as far as I know, they are the only ones who do that.
