Hello,

I noticed that Korg edited a "new" sound bank in 2013.
I download the only sound bank on the Korg website... The names of the different patches are not equal to those in the owner manuel ...
Is this the new "2013" sound bank , and where are the original sounds on the Website ...

If they released new sound in 2013 why the two different banks aren't avalaible ?

Hi,

The sound bank on the website are really new sounds to replace all or some original sounds.
There is little need to post the original sounds, although it would be handy. The orignal sounds are always available in the synth itself or could be restored by a factory reset.

You could e.g. do a factory reset, hook it up to your pc, install the sound editor and download all the sounds from the synth to the PC and then you have them as well.

Have fun

Ok thx a lot for the answer.

In the sound bank avalaible in the Korg Websiite, there's a sysex file.
does this sysex file contain all the new prg ?

All the sound will be replace if I send this sysex, or shall I send each prg one by one manualy ?

The sysex file in the package can be sent with any midi sysex tool and replace all the sounds in your micorKorg. If you have created your own sounds, make sure you first backup those before sending the sysex!

There is normally also a PC and MAC directory with each program separately. That can be used to selectively upload a program. Those are not in SysEx format and must be downloaded using the editor.
