I have tried four micro sd cards from 2gb to 32gb and every one says write.protected. I have tried formatting them on the pc. Is there a way of unprotecting something on the keyboard that I cannot find about in the manual, or have I discovered a fault.

Hi,

the cards must not be formatted in exfat or ntfs.

You have to format them ( via PC ) in FAT32, otherwise the PA4X isn´t able to read them.

The re-format the card in the PA4X.

BTW: Some cards do not work in some ( no matter if PC or keyboard ) environments. If you´ve got still no success try another manufacturer...

There is a Write protect switch on the side of an SD card - check that it's not in the "locked" position.

Cheers

Thanks Folk. I have tried a Kingston, A sandisk and an unknown. I have already formatted to FAT 32 on the PC a quick Format and a Long Format. There are no locks on. I have put a midi on and played it so I know the cards are working. I even downloaded a programme that supposed!!!!! to get rid of Write Protection, but still no joy.
Don't know where to go from here, I just wondered if there was something in Global that I didn't know about. Been using these micro sd cards for years on different computers ect., so they are not knew to me, but the Korg doesn't want to know.

After much turning on and off, putting in and taking out of sd card both on keyboard and PC I have managed to sort it out.

I went into Mode Preferences, and unticked Media Protect, and it just loaded fine, hope this helps anyone else and saves them nearly a whole day of trying to work out something that turned out to be so simple. Isn't that always the case.

Thanks for trying to help everyone.
