1: Is there a way to program one of the assignable switches to turn on/off an insert effect in a program? Specfically, I have a Wurlie sound that I'm using a Vox Wah as an insert effect on. I want to be able to turn it on or off as needed with one of the assignable switches that is by the joystick. I figured out how to do it with a delay that I'm using on the sound via the IFX parameters, but the insert effects that you can pick for the actual EP instrument I can't see where to toggle that on/off.
2: In order to use the expression pedal as the control for the wah, I need to set it to CC04. However, I also need to use this same pedal as an expression pedal to fade voices in and out in other programs. Is there somewhere to map the controller so when a voice in a combi sees CC04, it will trigger CC07 or 11? Going into global and changing the function of the foot pedal for every song wouldn't be very efficient. I'm wondering if there is a way to set the pedal function on a per program or per combi basis. |

Many effects parameters can be modulated by a Dynamic Modulation Source. You can acces to Dynamic Modulation Source List on page 1118 of the parameter guide. Among all, you will find SW1 and SW2.
Concerning you effect, on Vox-Wah parameter page, you can set the DMod source of Output parameter to SW1. That way, you can toggle effect on and off with SW1 switch.

I don't think there is a way to do it, as inside the Kronos, there is only one assignment set in Global Mode.
In order to get what you want, the only way I see is to send Midi CC to one external software wich wil convert CC04 to CC11 and send it back to the right combi chanel. So, the channel using the Vox-WAh goes on with CC04 parameter, and the other one, even though it sends a CC04, will receive another Midi CC.
I must say I don't see any other solution. |

This Kronos is for live use so I'm not going to run thru any software to map CC's. I'll just keep the pedal on CC11 and not worry about the wah effect on the Wulie. My Nord Electro 5 does that sound easily and it sounds great so I'll just keep using that. |

If your Wurly sound is coming from a EP-1 engine, you can use its specific Vox Wah effect on which you can attrib Pedal without any Midi CC consideration. (page 421 Pärameter Gudie) |

When you pick pedal, it specifically says "CC04" so if the pedal isn't configured to use that CC# it doesn't work. |

I’m facing the same dilemma... how to get the pedal, when assigned to #04, to act as a volume ped in some circumstances. Seems the “AMS" System should be able to handle it. I’m working on it.... _________________ Neil ‘Nail’ Alexander
