These piano sounds are terrific. My sincere thanks to you, Reuben, for posting these.
I have a PA3x 76. Still haven’t learned the operating system. But, having heard these sounds what I’m thinking is this. Instead of buying the digital piano I was about to buy, these sounds are such an improvement over the onboard Korg sounds, if I can load these, I’ll use the PA3x for my gigs. I can make do with 76 notes and save myself the money on a separate piano.
But......I don’t understand what I’m reading here. Would someone be kind enough to tell me which downloads here are for the PA3x so I have them on hand when I finally get time to learn how to use them. Is it just these?

Go to the first post in this thread and follow the download link and instructions.
(You have followed the wrong link in my byline.
The first one is for general soundfonts while the second one is the special one for the Korg Pa and will take you back to the first post where you will find the download link.)
Cheers,

You only need one. The first one you mentioned will put the sounds in User Bank 2 (U2), while the other one puts them in Bank 1. (The sounds are exactly the same - its just your location preference).
These are designed specifically for the Pa3x/4x/1000/700 so loading these is easy.
The soundfont sounds (sf2) you mentioned are not for the Pa series. You need a soundfont player for these. Lots of programs can play soundfonts. _________________ Free SoundFonts: https://sites.google.com/site/soundfonts4u/

Got it that time, John. Thanks for taking the time to walk me through the process. I'll keep it in my "PA3x folder" until I fully understand how to load it. This just might save me the cost of buying that Yamaha 125.

I have released a new version of the Yamaha C5 Grand (JNv5.0) that now includes some Large Concert Grand presets with a big, full and long sustained sound.
This set draws on the same samples as before (sample memory use is unchanged at 232mb that has been compressed to 116mb) but has some significant changes to Amp EG and resonance effects to achieve the large grand sound. I have also opened up the top-end of the sound to allow more expression.
This is a big sound that can almost over resonate with too much pedal down (just like a real grand).
This set adds 8 new sounds to page 3 of user sounds while all the first 16 presets on the first 2 pages are unchanged from before.
Besides the 3 new grands there are also 5 Fender Rhodes with varying tremolo effects including one that you can manually adjust with the Tempo wheel (or will automatically adjust to Style or Midi tempo). The new Rhodes use factory samples so no additional memory use is required.
The download link has been updated in the first post at the beginning of this thread. _________________ Free SoundFonts: https://sites.google.com/site/soundfonts4u/

To me the weak point of the 3x has always been the piano sounds which are quite muddy in the mid and low range areas. All the other sounds are excellent. This inspired me to find a good sampled piano loadable to the Pa3x and I found this in the free creative commons piano called the Salamander Grand made by Alexander Holm. All I had to do was to reduce this over 1gb 16 velocity layer piano to a version compatible with the Korg. I have ended up with a 6-velocity layer piano that also uses the resonance, pedal and key-off effects of the Korg.
There are eight versions of this piano (various brightness levels and other effects) that will load to the first 8 slots of User 1 Sounds.
You can download the piano from here:

I hope you enjoy this piano.

Thank you very much. Good work, big effort. |
Hola, amo tu trabajo con el Piano Yamaha C5, pero no tengo tanta memoria disponible, crees poder bajarle la calidad a unos 30 mb? |

Is there a chance of getting anything close to the Italian Grand that on the Pa4x it sounds amazing. _________________ Gem Wk4, Technics Kn5000, Solton Ms60, Yamaha Psr K1, Korg Pa50sd, Tyros 4, Korg Pa700 |
