I wonder if I am echoing some other people's thoughts here. It's odd that nobody has replied to this post...

It's very kind of ebuzer to offer these sounds to the forum, and I would certainly like to hear them. Clicking on the link takes me through to the website - in Istanbul, I think - but then clicking on the download link transfers me to a Russian website that I don't know. It's at this point that I hesitate, because of past problems with downloads from Russian links - my anti-virus always flags up some kind of threat!

I do not mean this as a disrespectful comment to my fellow forum users based in Russia - far from it - but my anti-virus seems to flag these links up very quickly. Can anyone confirm to me that the link is fine?

As I say, there is no disrespect intended to anyone, least of all ebuzer - thanks again to you for your generosity in offering these sounds...

Just tried up to the message I can't read because of foreign language. My AV prevented a pop-up to open - not a good sign in my book. Proceed further at your own risk.

I click the link and get a “this site cannot be reached” message.
There is no server found from my end.

Seems to be going all sorts of directions except directly to what the post is offering.

Hi ebuzer52,

Thanks for your kind message, and for trying to resolve this problem. You are right - there often seem to be difficulties when east and west meet on the internet, which is sad. Music has always managed to transcend borders, even when nobody else can.

I am away from home for a few days, but will try to download the sounds when I return. I do appreciate all your efforts.
