I want to start and stop the electribe 2 (sampler) via an external midi device. At the moment it seems that this is only possible when I send midi clock messages (0xf8) in addition to the start (0xfa) and stop (0xfc) messages. Is there a away around this, so I can only send start/stop messages and let the electribe handle the tempo/bpm? |

I tried several ways, including with Sysex messages. It seems that you need to associate a midi clock message with the start message. I have the same problem, I can not send a start message by letting the electribe handle the tempo. So the electribe is not the master in my device set. I send a start command to my MoXF (which manages the tempo) and the electribe follows.
The MoXF understands the simply start message. Why the electribe don't?
