MS2000 Mod Sequencer question

Post by J-Tim »

Hi,

I've recently purchased an MS2000R and so far, absolutely love it!

One thing that I don't seem to figure out is how to stop a particular step in the sequence from making a sound. The documentation isn't very clear about it.

As it isn't an x0x type of sequencer, I assume there is no ON/OFF switch for each step, what would be the best way to achieve what I am after ?

Thanks!

Hi,

Your question confuses me a bit.

The modulation sequencer has indeed a number of steps, but they do not produce any sound as such. These steps modulate a parameter of the current program while you are playing. It automates in fact the turning on a knob while you hit the keyboard. So it is not possible to switch on/off a step to make sure the sound stops. It is more like setting a step to put the knob to a position as if you were not turning it during a performance.

You can change the modulation per step. Select the sequence that you want to edit (Seq Edit button) and use the 16 knobs above the step buttons. The display should show something like +/-value. If you configure each step to 0, it would be like disabling the Mod sequencer.
