Just to say I've never seen a synthetizer with these possibilities..
Nothing to compare.
That is my opinion after 6 months of practice and discover...
thank you so much KORG.
It's just strange that your new Nautilus is not better than the kronos2
no more controllers, no more effects, no karma...
I'm very happy to get the kronos2

Nautilus is based on the Kronos. A more affordable Kronos with some extra features and other ones taken away as well, is not the Kronos replacement.

Agreed. But why is the question.

Its possible Korg has lost their way with the full featured w/s.

If we take an optimistic view, we can dream that Korg will deliver a new version of the ' most powerful ' in 2022 or 2023.

All synth companies plan out Workstation schedules. And they make various lower priced workstations synths and keyboards in between the workstation flagships releases. Korg, Yamaha and Roland live on flagship Workstations. So they will never stop making flagships because flagship workstations makes a profit for the company. These companies will from time to time offer intermediate workstations to avoid a flagship workstation burnout.

I think the goal of the big three keyboard companies is at least two flagship workstations per decade or per ten years. I think Yamaha may be the next company to release a full flagship workstation with a sampler/sequencer/synthesizer. Korg revenue will last another 2-4 years from Kronos and Nautilus sales.

Yes, and it's quite funny, while we all wonder if the Kronos will be soon pulled out of the race, seing many new Kronos sounds libraries recently available on Shop Korg, but there is no specific Nautilus sound library !!

Korg seem to be cranking up for Summer NAMM, with the release of the above mentioned new libraries, and a clutch of YouTube videos.

the 3rd parties, such as KaPro, created a big bunch of $29 sample libs, not Korg.

The Korg site is a platform for the 3rd parties, to offer the work to us Kronos owners.

Just saw the new Kurzweil k2700.
And when considering also the new Roland Fantom from last year or 2, Korg has a bit of competition to reply now.

Roland and Kurzweil have stepped up with better polyphony and surface control options. Maybe a few other things to outpace Kronos capabilities.

So…..It shouldn’t take much improvement for Korg to launch something that puts it on top again.
I bet Korg already has it in the works and probably something really impressive. Only a matter of time -with all the competition already stepping up one by one.

Yes i hope any Kronos replacement is going to carry Karma forward into the next generation.
Kronos replacement will be able to load purchased sound libraries from 3rd party. That is the only thing that makes sense for any top notch synth workstation. Best for the customer and for the synth workstation business.
