... ... ... And I even think that Korg would sell many many more Nautilus Racks than the actual Nautilus keyboard.

Guaranteed sales !

That reminds me! I must try and find a 4U rack enclosure (locally, that doesn’t cost a fortune) to build my Kronos rack. Its an old K2 73 that currently works as a pile of circuit boards on my worktop!

Strangely, before the Nautilus was a thing, because of limited panel space, I pared the buttons down to the Combi/Prog/etc and +, -, Enter, and Exit. Maybe a tap tempo, too.

Surprising how big the screen becomes on the front of a rack.

There was a time when many keyboards came in a rack-mount module version. But the sound module market mostly dried up with the introduction of PC-based DAWs, VSTs, and plugins. Still, there is a small niche sound module market for who do not want to use a computer in their home or performance setup.

There are few stage piano modules being sold, but the Roland Integra 7 is the only sound module that comes to mind that has a diverse sound set. This product has apparently been successful since its introduction in 2013, still being sold new for $1799. Roland does not sell a keyboard version of the Roland Integra 7.

And maybe that's the trick for a successful sound module - it needs to be a unique stand-alone product without a keyboard equivalent. Manufacturers have perhaps determined it doesn't make business sense to offer a sound module version of a keyboard for various reasons:
1) The additional engineering, design, and product support costs;
2) Very little demand for the sound module if priced at the same level as the 61-key keyboard version;
3) Or worse, if the sound module outsells the (presumably) higher profit margin 73- and 88-key keyboard versions.

it seems to me, on the contrary, that the arrival of DAWs has made many people use a lightweight USB keyboard interfaced to their DAW to drive their plug-ins.
And racks like the integra 7 or the Motif XS (with no large screen) are widely used.
On the other hand, workstations are dinosaurs on the decline.

Helas there will be no Nautilus rack.

Wish I could do this! I have an original K73 with a damaged keyed that I would love to convert.
