ESX-1 button fix??

Hey everyone! I've been lurking these pages and listening to everyone's music for a while and decided to finally dive in and register.

So here's my deal: I've been playing an ESX-1SD since 2011, and only recently have had some issues with a few buttons not being as responsive as they were before. Last year I took it to a guy here in LA who "fixed" the issue but here I am 8 months later and the same buttons that were issues before are now completely dead. I've tried the Caikote44 fix, but it did absolutely nothing.

Wondering if anybody else has tried anything that worked? I ordered some copper tape to try... I'm hoping that I somehow got a bottle of bunk Caikote, and the copper trick will work.

I'm really sad that they don't make these things anymore.
