I would like to believe that Piano sound is a personal matter.
For me ,most piano Program Sounds ,either Rom or Ram sample based, they sound quite ok in the mix or in styles.
But what actually matters to me,is the depth it gives to the sound ,the feeling that the keys play exactly what i play,no more,no less of the expression i give to the keys.
What i believe about factory piano programs/Performances :
They sound quite nice, sometimes i don't like the sustain on G6-G7,they sound ok in the mix and in the styles, but not good or they sound muddy when giging with other musicians ,especially guitars, violins etc, instrumets that have a wide and/or fat range and huge sound and dynamics.
For that reason, and for my personal needs (just for now at least),
i picked the German Grand which happens to be my most favorite of all factory sounds, and i tweaked it to my taste's for live purposes.
You can obviously notice the difference between my piano and the factory German Grand by hearing the demos, but you can feel it more when you play it live.
It doesn't use any samples or even a user program, just the factory piano, but now it comes alive, especially when you already have a good preset in MAXX settings.
There is no comparison of course between this piano and/or any other sampled based piano libraries or VST ,on the other hand maybe there is,i don't know, you will have to find it out by yourselves ,it just feels to be a way better piano than factory ones ,a piano that you can work with it.
You can hear the demo and download the Performance sound if you like,by donating a small fee, nothing expensive.
The ''Ivory SZ Grand'' as i named it ,can be found on my site here :
Hope you enjoy it,
greetings!!! _________________

I liked your harmony preference in 13-9 analysis , used by the right notes space chord configuration !
You could also try tweaking Fazioli (Italian) , that is the biggest and more detailed acoustic piano in Pa4X ! _________________ Music Conductor - Sound Engineer & Developer - Automotive SMPS/RF R&D - Electronics Engineer

Thank you Antony,
I play it almost alike, but that was an old midi file i used so i have the same expression on both mp3's,and more accurate comparison between them.
I would expect that the italian would be something wowwww.....
i was deeply disappointed by that sound, don't know why,
since the beginning it sounded very thin, while the Synthogy's Italian Grand is my favorite one.
Maybe i resample the Italian grand.I had it resampled in two or 4 layers,i just found them yesterday, among others like grand2, ivory grand c7 ,etc... i think i might resample my fantomx7 SRX11'Superior Grand ,that piano uses 4 stereo velicities and it sounds nicer than any samples i had load on my fantomx7 back then, even Coakley's pianos, though i would love to try a D359 Steinway concert grand.
But as i said, nowdays with pa4x, an 24-layers Ivory italian grand would be super,it will need ram though.....let's see if korg will come with any disk streaming presents,if not streaming at least something like Nord keyboards had ,i dont know how they call it.... _________________

I've installed the Ivory SZ Grand piano and it sounds OK to me.
Very useful for songs where the piano needs to 'bite' a bit and cut through the mix.
For the money, you can't go wrong of course and it doesn't take any RAM.
I do like the Italian piano better though. _________________ Musical grtz, Frans

I like synthogy's italian grand, but not this one....
It sounds too empty and too much bright in it,i guess with a 88keybed it will sound much better.
To be honest,i firstly started tweaking the italian, but quite soon i understood that i can't change much on it to make it better.
I gave many tries though,on different days and time that my head was clear enough, but with no luck
I still like some characteristics, but those points that i dislike are more, that's why i gave up on this. _________________
