Hi People,
I have an old Roland XP-60. I quite like some of the sounds on it and would love to transfer them (via sampling) to my Kronos.
This is the first board I've had with a sampler, so I'm quite new to it all. Does anyone know of any good tutorials regarding this? I think I may be able to do the actual sampling part, but I need to know more about key mapping, to get the sound across the entire board.
Many thanks in advance,
Steve |

As ever, youtube is your friend here. Also, as is very often the case, so is your fellow forum user Qui Robinez. Here is a link to a sampling tutorial of his - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nURLCUGAzTw
I haven't got the time to work through the whole of the tutorial to see if it covers exactly what you're after, but I hope it will be pretty close. There are many other tutorials that will come up as youtube suggestions which will doubtless fill in the gaps.
What you're planning to do will feel long-winded at first, but once you get into the rhythm of it (it's full of repeated tasks, of course) it will start to flow and you should make good progress with it. Best of luck! |

Here's another video tutorial that also goes over the important steps of how to save your work so that it auto-loads every time you start up your Kronos.
