I’m working on a project using a multisample converted to a program...after I changed the multisample (and again converted to a program) I resaved the project (using ALL) and discovered that along with my project’s user bank, I get an additional folder ‘PROJECTNAME_userbank_userbank.ksc.’

Or, to put it another way, where originally I had saved

PROJECTNAME_userbank.ksc.’

I ALSO get:

PROJECTNAME_userbank_userbank.ksc.’

So what is the relationship between these two? Is it an update that makes the earlier version redundant? Can’t the file system simply overwrite the earlier version? Must/should I load both?

Thanks!

Thanks for your reply...

Yes, I have two already, my query relates to a copy of the user bank file.

So, after first save I have:

PROJECT.ksc
PROJECT_UserBank.ksc

After modifying a multisample, converting to program, and saving I have a third file:

PROJECT_UserBank_UserBank.ksc

So I’m trying to work out how the second and third UserBank files relate to each other.

Thanks.

I Open each of the files down to the last file part. To compare them for similarities or differences.
That’s the best you can do. Open each of them down to the last possible file page to spot similarities and differences.

I still have not made sense of it other than it is just what the system does for reasons i don’t understand.
It also got me confused when deciding which files to add to my Auto-Load setup so that my User sample program ends up ready to go when i power up.

Thanks...yes, I had exactly that problem with auto-load. This has frustrated me for too long so tonight I just deleted the _UserBank_UserBank file and crossed my fingers -so far nothing seems to be lost, so I can only assume it’s some sort of glitch. Good luck sorting yours!
