Anybody have any idea when the SDK is out? I’m a coder and as soon as I learned the Prologue will have an SDK it was an instant buy for me. My Prologue 16 arrived today. Now I’m just itching to get coding custom oscillators. |

For me spring is april or latest may.
Hope its not Australian spring they mean.
Congrats to your P 16. Mine should also had arrived today, but due to snowy roads it was delayd til tomorrow.
I dont know c++. But I want to learn and I hope there will be some templates from Korg to start with. _________________ Korg Kronos 2 88 ; The River ; Cubase 10.5 Pro ; PC Win 10

Missed the C++ bit in your reply. Have you heard it’s a C++ api? I hoped it would be but wondered how practical that would be for them to expose.
Now I really can’t wait |

In the videos from NAMM the Korg staff says C++.
And I saw now on prologue website that is says:
The source code for Waves will be available as a template to start creating your own unique oscillators
So hopefully I can start there to learn. _________________ Korg Kronos 2 88 ; The River ; Cubase 10.5 Pro ; PC Win 10 |

Excellent news!
I need to clear my office a bit to make room for the Prologue now. |

New information about the SDK now on Korg website:
http://www.korg.com/us/products/synthesizers/prologue/sdk.php
The SDK will be released in the beginning of May, and the librarian software in June. _________________ Korg Kronos 2 88 ; The River ; Cubase 10.5 Pro ; PC Win 10 |

I just happened to look at the Prologue SDK page last night and nearly had a heart attack thinking it was out right then
Not toooooo long to wait then. I just wonder if we can test code out on the hardware without the Librarian - otherwise that's going to be one long month. |

I was wondering that to?
But I guess so, otherwise they could as well have released them at the same time? _________________ Korg Kronos 2 88 ; The River ; Cubase 10.5 Pro ; PC Win 10 |

There's more info about the SDK in this video from Superbooth - including a Prologue Dev board!

Just wondering what will be possible in the future...future...future......
For the Mod FX I was hope that someone would create a tremolo effect. This got me thinking about user created LFOs in general. I doubt there is any way for the user created stuff to address certain specific analogue parameters of the synth. Seems like the digital side and analogue side are separate. Tremolo would only have to act on the volume which shouldn't be too much of a stretch since the signal is already going to the effect slot. But what if the user created stuff can address specific analogue parameters? There could be specialized LFOs that only address certain parameters. Yes, I'm thinking about more LFOs.
Is the road to the effects slots a one way affair? Can the fx slots send and receive info to/from certain specific parameters? I guess if that were possible Korg would have included an example. Just dreaming I guess... |
