|
|
sometimes when my mic is on Harmony , as I sing , seems the mic picks up what is coming out of the speakers & it gives off a distortion back through the speakers ,almost like a growl ...if i turn the volume down on either mic or harmony , it stops but then the vocals lose their presence .. any suggestions on how to stop this ... ???? |

Yes you are more likely to get feedback when using vocal harmonies because of the added number of frequencies being boosted in the mic. You can to reduce it using by the usual things like:
1) Choosing a mic that has a narrower pickup pattern (Shure SM 58 or similar)
2) Avoid facing mic anywhere near speakers and have speakers forward of your mic
3) Dont try to use speakers as monitors but use a seperate floor monitor
4) Try changing set up position due to room reverb problems
5) Recuce the offending EQ frequency in your Maxx settings
There are lots of iPhone apps (n-Track Tuner is one free one) that display frequencies so you can make the feedback happen and identify the frequency on your iPhone then reduce that frequency in MaxxEQ but don't over do it. _________________ Free SoundFonts: https://sites.google.com/site/soundfonts4u/
