|
|
Hi - was wondering if I can trigger samples from the Nanopad2 while playing...
basically I'm going to be playing for a musical and will need to play some effects (gunshots, wind, etc.) during the performance and it would be great if I could load these onto the Kronos instead of having a separate computer to play the samples....
Thanks!

Sure. I do this all the time. You'll have to make a combi, in which you map the samples you want onto keys you don't use, and program the pads to those keys. _________________ Kronos X-88, Nanopad2, Tascam US122 MKii, Roli Rise 49 |

Here's a link describing how to do what you ask. Ignore the part about the foot pedals, you just want the part for the Nanopad (steps 1 thru 4):
http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?p=740232&highlight=#740232
1) Convert the sample into a program. "Convert MS to program" found from upper right drop down menu. See Dave's tutorial, especially around the 19:00 minute mark.
2) Put the program into a combi/song.
3) Put each of these programs into its own limited keyboard range, maybe even one sample per keyboard note.
4) Assign up to 8 of those notes/programs to the PADs. |
