Hello All,

Does anyone know how to setup the PA4X so I can get harmony
while playing a midi file.

I've tried various things but so far to no avail.

Don

On my 3x I set Vocal Harmony control to follow chords played.
In Song Play Mode, Menu, Preferences, Harmony Control, "Keyboard".
Another way is if you happen to have the main midi backing in a particular track (say Track 3)for all your songs then you can set Harmony Control to Player 1&2 Track 3 for instance.
Also note that in Songbook (Edit Book 3), you can override Harmony control for a particular song to another track or back to Keyboard Control. So if you are a big user of the Songbook and prefer to have harmony control linked to midi tracks then you can set up each song to whatever track is best. I leave mine set at "Unchanged" because I always use Keyboard Control in the main menu settings.
Also check your Voice Processor Presets are correct. Press Shift/Harmony and make sure its on Type:Chord, and Source:Chord Scan, if you are using the "Keyboard" setting.
Here is a quick record I did a couple of days ago with harmony control set to Keyboard.

Thanks Reuben,

I'll give that a try.

Nice job on your vocal song. Are you using
1 up for VH?

Reuben,

You saved my day! In song memu, mic set (pa4x), song play
was set to Track 5. I changed it to chord scan. Working
great now!

I thought that you were using 1up. It blended well with
your voice & didn't overpower your singing.

Many thanks again Reuben for the clue.

Don
