I feel like I read something about a way in combo mode to have a program only voice the top note in a chord? For example, I'm playing a synth pad, but I want a string ensemble to follow a series of chords only playing the top note. Is this possible?

This method may be good enough for you, give it a try. The main problem is that it will double trigger on something obvious like a bell sound, but for a string sound it might be ok:

Combi mode
Go to Timbre/OSC tab, and Force OSC Mode to Mono.

Yeah, you can do this. I'm not at the KRONOS atm, but from memory this is a PROG setting which isn't adjustable from inside the COMBI.

Under the main program page, where you select mono/poly, you set it to mono and then there is a setting there for priority, AFAIR, and you set that to upper/top, or lower/bottom.

Will double check later and correct it if this is not accurate Smile

I think that's what I'm looking for, I'll try. Cheers
