Is Changing tempo in variations possible?

Hi guys ,
Just wondering if there is a way to change the tempo of styles to make them sound different.
For example the tempo of variation 1 @90 while the tempo of variation 4 @ 98.
I tried locking the tempo option to save the setting that way and it did not work .
Is it possible?
