Thanks you for the reply. Yes it is a great feature and with 10 years for playing on Yamaha Keyboard i can tell you i use it a lot by gigs.
I really like my Pa4x and all the features it haves in comparaison with yamaha Keyboard, but it would be great if Korg implement this features with new update

Latch chords
I do not know which new function exactly is searched for a Pa keyboard here.karmathanever wrote:Don't think so but THAT IS A NICE FEATURE!!!!!
But playing a chord, pressing damper pedal and keeping it pressed to keep the recognized chord in memory and to be released with the damper pedal when you want to play another chord to be recognized by the arranger is a feature as old as first Pa-Keyboard was introduced.
It was made that you can freely play any chord on the keyboard, and the arranger will still play the ‘latched’ chord - especially useful in Full Keyboard mode.
To do so in Global > Mode Preferences select the Damper&Latch checkbox, to make the recognized chord be held for as long as the Damper pedal is kept pressed.
I would be very surprised if the Pa4x would lack with "Chord Latch" which holds the recognized chord until the pedal is released - a feature well known since generations.
kind regards

Thanks Siebenhirter
I will look into that now. It is only the bass that gets latched - the Yamaha feature enables you to play a chord (style play) and change style chords but without changing the bass line chord.
You can partly get away with it using bass inversion BUT it depends very much on the song chords.
Eye of the Tiger song is a classic example of keeping the bass locked whilst playing different chords.
Thanks for your feedback

Thanks you for the reply. I almost think a basic function like this must be on the pa serie since long time. I will test it today at home. but i think it is not the same as the bass hold on Yamaha. The Bass hold is programmed on the part on the Style where the function must bee available. The point is to make the same chord note for just one or more style element. For exemple the Chord progression of a song would be C-Am-F-G. The bass hold is apply to Bass Part and ACC2 Part. When i play the C-Chord and press the pedal the BASS and ACC2 play the C-Chord and the other style element still follow the chord Progression of the left Hand. Since the Dampfer and Latch are apply to the whole style, it seem to be useless as the Yamaha Bass Hold. But i will try it and tell you how it is.
Kind regards

Correct!! Sadly you cannot perform a bass hold like the Yamaha - let's hope for the future with this.marcodg wrote:Thanks you for the reply.
