Hi everyone, I use a Kronos for a home recording project. I have been reading over forum posts and am enjoying reading the responses, but so far cannot see a post about importing a wav file then playing along with the wav file on the Kronos.

Ideally, I just want to jam along with a song previously recorded on protools and saved as a wav file. I am able to import the wav file in Sequencer mode and also Program mode.

What advice can you offer for next steps?

With appreciation in advance,

if you know the SEQ, sounds straight forward.

Play your WAV file on an audio track and accompany it on any of the 16 midi tracks. Select or copy in whatever Program you like

I was doing this just last night.

There were a couple of things that weren't immediately obvious to me, such as needing to copy the wav file to the internal drive before importing. I also first tried with an mp3 but discovered that support is specifically for wav files.

The section of the manual that details all of this is here:

Placing a WAVE file in an audio track (page 115)

It's a pretty decent step by step, so that should get you going.
