The Kronos' SGX-2 engine models real piano behaviour rather well, with high quality unlooped samples, sampled at up to 12, I think, different velocities, string resonance, damper and mechanical noise, lack of damper effect in the upper registers, una corda, lid position, and lack of pitch bend.
However, it is possible to pitch bend a piano sound using the HD-1 engine, which is sample based and includes piano samples as standard in its library. The "3 Way Stereo Grand" is a ready-made example of a grand piano that can be pitch bent.
