At least a worthwile update, in particular regards the Fill-ins.
Not sure though in how far the RAM sample memory has been enlarged. It says "The maximum number of User Samples you can load has been increased to 15048 "
Okay, does this mean we are still talking about 600Mb of Ram memory ?
regards

Nope ... this means that they have increased sample positions for oriental users/developers that use
mostly Ram memory for time-sliced samples of percussion & DKs and in this case , even 15000 slots are
still a few in order to handle all those time-sliced samples especially if they are in stereo form and compressed !
Motherboard flash memory devoted for user samples is still the same size of 300 Mb PCM uncompressed
and this will not change (as with Pa4X) although we had a slight hope ! _________________ Music Conductor - Sound Engineer & Developer - Automotive SMPS/RF R&D - Electronics Engineer

I'm pleased about updates are improving the shortcomings in order gradually to achieve the functionality of the previous models.
That was the case - for example - with the Fill Mode parameter of Pa4x, that was been added to the Style Play > Style Controls > Drum/Fill page.
*
Of course, the form of fill triggering (two buttons same time) not with Pa1000 is only a stopgap solution and already known from Pa900 / 600/300, because time-critical arrangements are not playable with double-handling buttons, but only with simple direct access to single buttons. But this problem also better is compensated with remote controls (via footswitch).
Anyway future Pa-Arrangers should be equipped with Fill-Buttons - and not just the upper class, as these are part of the basic equipment of an arranger keyboard.
For the same reason in the OS of the Pa1000 next change should follow with the re-installation of the StylePreference, also one of the basic equipment of an arrangerkeyboard. For this, no buttons were omitted, but only the OS code was shortened - simply add again what was left out (as mentioned in thread "Lost arranger features Pa1000/700").
Maybe with updates you will still get some functionality with the Pa1000 to be able to use it at least as well as the predecessors, so to buy it would interest me too. _________________ kind regards
