I’m not sure if I understand exactly what you’re trying to do. But addressing your #4 issue, drums will not continue to play in time as you advance ahead in set list mode. _________________ Kronos2-61..(2) Triton Classic, Nord Stage 2, Previously owned lots of other gear dating back to the 70’s. |

Hi Falcon2d,
Setlist will only contain references to a single PROG, COMBI or SEQ. It does not store individual settings on those, other than volume and transpose (which can be set through the user interface in SETLIST mode).
If you make changes to a PROG in Tone Control, you need to save it to a different PROG and add the other PROG to the set list.
If you make changes to RT controls, these are never saved, not in any mode. _________________ Gear: Korg Kronos 2 73, Arturia Microbrute & MiniBrute 2, Moog Mother-32, Ibanez RG320DXFM Guitar, ESP Viper 254FM Bass, Blackstar HT-1

I'm not sure about that. Here's what I found in the manual:
Quote: | Knob edits can be saved
The Real-Time Knobs are great for modulating sounds in
performance, or for recording. If you like, you can also save
the edited version of the sound, using the normal Write
Program command (see “Saving your edits” on page 46).
Internally, a single knob usually affects several different
parameters. When you write a Program, the edits are saved
into the individual parameters, and not to the knob itself.
After writing the Program, you’ll notice that the knobs have
returned to their center positions–since the old “edited”
values are now the new “saved” values
Saving your edits
Once you’ve tweaked the sound to perfection, you’ll want to
save your work. To save your edits:
1. Select the Write Program command from the page
menu, at the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
You can also call up this menu command by holding ENTER
and pressing 0 on the numeric keypad.
This brings up a dialog box which allows you to save the
Program. Optionally, you can also select a new location,
change the Program’s name, and assign it to a sound
category (such as keyboard, guitar, etc.).
2. Press the “T” button to bring up the text edit dialog.
You can give the Program a descriptive name using the onscreen
keyboard.
3. After entering the name, press OK.
The text edit window will disappear, returning you to the
main Write dialog.
4. Under “To” at the bottom of the dialog, press the
popup button next to Program to bring up the save
location dialog.
5. Select a location to save the edited Program.
You can write to any location in banks INT–A…F, USER–
A…G, and USER–AA…GG. To avoid overwriting the
factory sounds, it’s safer to use a slot in one of the empty
User banks.
Important: HD-1 Programs can only be written to HD-1
Banks, and EXi Programs can only be written to EXi
Banks. For more information on the default Bank types,
and on how to change them, please see “Program Bank
Contents” on page 31, and “Changing the Program Bank
Types” on page 31.
6. After selecting the location, press OK.
7. Press OK again to start the write process.
8. If you’re sure you want to write to this location, press
OK again.
After that, you’re done!
For more information, see “Writing Programs and
Combinations” on page 200.
Do not turn off the power for at least 10 seconds after
writing the Program. This allows the system time to
complete the process, which includes saving a backup of
the data to the internal disk. |

Apparently I'm not entirely correct, no
On page 22 of the Parameter guide (under the RESET CONTROLS section) , you'll see this quote which states the inverse of the one in the Operation manual:
Quote: | If the value is not stored (such as with the REALTIME KNOBS), the control is reset to its default value.
|
This is different from Tone Control though. Tone Control changes are saved with the PROG / COMBI / SEQ.
But then, there is this thread from a while ago: http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=111352
Which points to some more subtlety about combination of saving tone control + real time knob edits. _________________ Gear: Korg Kronos 2 73, Arturia Microbrute & MiniBrute 2, Moog Mother-32, Ibanez RG320DXFM Guitar, ESP Viper 254FM Bass, Blackstar HT-1

friends is it necessary to SAVE each and every patch with little changes?
so user banks will have multiple slots with same sound tweaked
what i want to know is:
if we have a combi for example which has multiple sounds on all different 16 timbres, i change the volume levels and ADD it to SETLIST on SLOT 1, then i again change the Levels then ADD it to SLOT 2.
i don't want to save every changes
is it possible to use Different preset COMBI's but wanna keep a single Drum track going on for both combis
so that drumtrack doesn't stop if i change the patch in the setlist |

Drum tracks and Karma setups are associated with individual Combis, so changing Combi will always result in the drum track stopping until the next trigger key press. One way round this might be to run an external sequencer outputting drum events, normally on MIDI channel 10, though even this approach may drop an occasional beat as the Combi change is taking place in the Kronos. Another way might be to have each of the different Programs in one single Combi and mute/unmute them as necessary.

Yes

Sorry, but that is the way Setlists work. They just call up existing programs, combis or songs. They don't save the individual parameters within those programs, combis or songs.
