I need to try and program some of the squiggly, wiggly synth sounds in this tune. Any idea which engine(s) I should start with? I'm guess the MS-20 and Polysix? Can the guiica sound in the Brazilian Perc. Kit be mangled to emulate some of these sounds? Thanks!

can you be more specific ?
its a 6 minute song . Is it a sound buried in the mix during the verse ? _________________ Kronos 88. MODX8

Man! that is a good specimen dug up there.
Some real raunchy funk.
If it is real old school, i am impressed that they made the synth do that in that day and age.
How on Kronos? I am just here to dig the funky groove and impressive synth drops.
I can’t even guess with confidence on this but my first thought is pitch modulation, a bit of portamento and touches of more parameters.
What synth was used would definitely be the best clue to start with.
MS and Ploysix are a good guess for simulating it, considering the era of the music and the tone of the synth in the song mix. |
