I used the volca beat mainly for its kick and hi-hats, with midi cc's being controlled and sequenced by the monomachine.

Controlling the Beat with MIDI CC's to run the pitch of the pcm sounds actually works really well; turns the Agogo into a cowbell!

i store the PCM pitches with patterns. don't try to do realtime pitch.

have decided that it sounds pretty good through compression and
short reverb. gets in the oldskool dept.

on to the volca bass ... now *what* is going to salvage that thing?!
really do find that one ultra-limited, and flawed. i'd like to see more
of a will to explore and mod that one.

blackout did not publish what he did to give level control of oscillators,
as far as i know. think it should be possible to have vcf eg invert
somehow, and it's been suggested that osc sync might be possible...
i really don't understand too much how 'sustain' works, there's no
level control for that, so it doesn't make much difference whether
amp eg is on or off there ...

cv inputs and a load of switches... ???
