I have seen the Korg Pa4x manual and I see that there are not dedicated buttons in order to mute each tracks (drums, bass, acc1...acc5). Can I do it sending a CC or Sysex message from a midi external controller? |

Yes you can or you can use the "mute" button on the screen.

Remember when the i30 had a dedicated mute button at the bottom of each slider, Pete? I often wish they'd continued with that on subsequent models. Be well, mate. _________________ When I nod my head . . . Hit it!

My old Korg is40 has two buttons for each track. One of them increases the volume. The other decreases it.
If you press both you get mute the track. It’s very funny because the sound of reverb remains. This feature allows manage the tracks in live very fast. The touchscreen needs two touchs: the first to select the track and the second touch to mute or unmute it.
At the moment, i try to mute the tracks sending a cc 11 (expression) to 0 level, but this action turn off the whole sound (reverb effect included).
What is the midi message that I have to send? |

Try sent CC# 7 (Track Volume).
CC# 7 not available in Style Track, but you can use from external midi deceives.
here you got all CC# Korg support.

Thanks Nemik,
But I think that sending the CC #11 (expression) is better solution that sending CC #7 because the track volume is preserved.
I can configure a toggle button in the midi external controller. With the first touch, 0 is sent at CC11. With the second one, 127 is sent at CC11 and the track sounds again with its set volume inside the style.
If I send a 0 in CC 7, and later, i want to unmute the track, how do i get that the midi controller remembers the previous volume of the track? |

I don't think you can.
Unless Korg provide us with some midi Sysex command including Mute tracks, is practically not possible to set volume back to previous position.
I don't know if you try use assignable switches?
There you can Mute and unMute tracks.
same is using EC5 Pedal.
In theory most Keyboards sending thru midi channel using Sysex all info, then in Advanced programming you can catch Volume level in tracks, but I am not sure about Korg.
for example using Ableton Live and Akai MPK49, Ableton can see in realtime positions of knobs and faders, I believe is call Active Sensing (not sure). _________________ Nemik
