Hello ,I just recently went from tha PA 80 (owned for 17 years) to the new PA 1000 ,I so far have mixed motion about the 1000 it does have pretty much all the bells and whistles but is by far very complicated to use in other words not friendly as the old PA 80,now I understand that the technology has changed and there is better sounds and effects but I feel that should it bin more use friendly and the worst of all one little mistake one wrong button is pressed and you're done .....in the end I would say that the pa 1000(my second one, the first cropped out on me the first day I toke it home)it does have nice sounds but in general it is very hard to use and especially to make small adjustments and tweaking that need to be made constantly.....thank you

It is not just the 1000.

I think that you will find that all keyboards be they Arrangers or Workstations have a complicated operating system.

A year on with my 700 and I am still learning, but also I have a Kross 2 which has also been quite a task to get around the different operating system compared to the 700.

The Korg Video Manuals for the appropriate keyboard are a great help in getting started, the pdf manuals are very detailed but not exactly user friendly in finding a solution to a particular task.

The key to using the PA series is to set up your own songs in Songbook, then create a Setlist of all your Songs. Accessing each song is then a very easy and quick process and once loaded the chosen Style, Keyboard sets, Pads, Fx etc for each song are all there all done and in no need of re-editing or set up.

So yes it is complicated but once learned and operated as per my above suggestion setting up for a new song becomes quick and easy, and again once set up and saved it is in memory for quick and easy access.

I agree with Biggles. I tried various Kong’s before, but never got the results I wanted. The PA1000 is the first arranger where I feel I can edit things to my liking quickly. I’ve had Roland and Yamaha arrangers; the Yamaha OS is easiest, but this new 1000 has some great sounds and features.
