I see, so how do you "Categorize" & "TAG" your songs
for social-media ?

Generally under ambient by default, but even then, I tend to struggle with sites like Soundcloud, as my tracks vaguely cross semi-classical and symphonic electronic.

i see, acording to your soundcloud profile
i would say you "Specialize" in "Jazz & Blues"

............

yes, for 'profile' the 'default choices ' genres in SC don't allow for multiple/ variety. . So us folks that diversify are pushed into ' 1 size fits all '

I can't think of any blues in my 40 originals. If I could generalize, I would say
some of my style is retro ambient jazz. IOW, I don't specialize musically.

I like to play and move around genres. Its fun.

Till now it was clearly Film-scores and some pop but i just bough the Kronos to create chillout and New Age music.

But yesterday I was talking about my ideas to my husband (very soft, slow and relaxing music with nature sounds) and he laugh at me, saying it's some music for lift (elevator) or in a spa, degrading this kind of music, that i can do better.
What is your opinion about this genre?

' new age' which I enjoy, has been around since the 80's.
Ambient has been around since the 90's.
" chill " had some brief commercial popularity after 2000, but
it it did not progress.

I personally think new age or relaxing music is an excellent alternative to high stress tech driven lifestyles. Ambient is abundant and also an excellent
'antidote'. But I can't produce any proof that its a style that will take off
and have a resurgence in demand/popularity.

You didn't state if this 'idea' is for commercial or some kind of potential moneymaker. I don't have any expectation that it is.

My opinion, is that you, as an artist, are #1. You have to please yourself with your creation. No matter what the genre.
