Hi,
I am running into a headache when syncing slave devises from my EMX1.
The EMX 1 sends a MIDI Start (FA) and Stop (FC) signal to the slaves which switches them on and off. ( I guess you know this)
The trouble is I don't want this to happen when I start the EMX 1, as I want to activate the slaves at the correct time in the song.
The set up is;
EMX 1 - Master MIDI set to Internal clock.
Aira TB3 - slave
RC 202 - Slave
I have trawled the manuals and there is no clear way to deactivate the start/stop sync on the TB3 or RC 202. Their manuals refer to the Master signal.
The EMX1 manual has no clear info on this.
Do any of you people have an idea on how I can resolve this?
Many thanks

One way is turn the volume down on your TB and RC, then mix the volumes up at correct time. Even use scatter on TB and lower cutoffs (then raise) in order to introduce your parts - if this is appropriate to your style. Mixers are good for mutes too.
Or..
There is midi filters. I'm not familiar with the EMX but if you find that you can switch off when needed. |

Another technique that will require manual control is to just mute/unmute the track on the EMX at the appropriate times. |
